Privacy Policy

Summary

Marketly is an AI marketing assistant for small businesses. We collect only what we need to operate the product (your Google sign-in details, your brand profile, the content you generate, and basic usage analytics), we keep it on secure infrastructure, and we never sell it. Payments are handled directly by Stripe. This page explains the details.

1. Who we are

Marketly ("we", "us") provides an AI-powered marketing copy generator. If you have any privacy questions, contact us at cecilia@usemarketly.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. We use this to create and identify your account.

Brand profile and inputs

We store the brand profile you save (business name, industry, tone, target audience, keywords, brand style, CTA preference) and the inputs you submit to each generator. These are used to tailor AI output and are visible only to you inside your account.

Generated content

We store the marketing copy you generate so you can revisit it from your Projects. Generated content stays private to your account unless you choose to publish it via a share link or opt into the public Showcase.

Public share links and Showcase

If you create a public share link or opt a result into the Showcase, the generated content and a title become publicly accessible. We never include your email, name, picture, brand profile, or raw inputs on those public pages. View counts on public pages are aggregated and not tied to individual visitors.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a transaction record from Stripe (plan purchased, amount, currency, status, timestamp, and an anonymized payment-session ID) so we can grant your plan and credits. We do not see or store your full card number, expiry, or CVC. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the data it collects during checkout.

Sessions and cookies

We use an authentication session cookie ("session_token") to keep you signed in securely. This cookie is HTTP-only, marked Secure, and scoped to Marketly. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Usage analytics

We collect basic usage analytics (which pages and generators are used, errors, and aggregate performance) to understand how the product is being used and to improve it. We do not sell this data and we do not combine it with advertising networks.

3. How we use your information

• Provide and operate Marketly (authenticate you, generate content tailored to your brand, save your projects)
• Process payments via Stripe and apply the plan/credits you purchased
• Send essential service emails (receipts via Stripe, account notices)
• Investigate and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues
• Improve the product based on aggregated usage analytics and feedback
• Comply with legal obligations

4. AI processing

To generate copy, we send the relevant parts of your brand profile and your generator inputs to a third-party large language model provider. These providers are bound by their own confidentiality and security commitments and do not use this data to train their public models on your behalf without your separate agreement.

We do not send your name, email, profile picture, payment details, or other account identifiers to the AI provider.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the following categories of recipients:

• Stripe, our payment processor
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store and serve the service on our behalf
• Our analytics provider, used in an anonymized / aggregated way
• Our AI/LLM provider, strictly to fulfill a generation you request
• Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal information and projects within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep limited records for legal or financial reasons (for example, payment receipts may be retained as required by tax law).

Public share links remain accessible until they expire or you revoke them. Showcase entries remain visible until you remove them.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), encrypted at-rest storage where supported by our providers, scoped access to our database, and secure session cookies. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at cecilia@usemarketly.com.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email cecilia@usemarketly.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. International transfers

Marketly and its providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law when transferring personal information across borders.

10. Children

Marketly is not intended for children under 18 (or the age of majority where you live). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. We will provide notice of material changes by email or in-app notice.
